Dear fellow alumni, students, and parents:

Greetings from the Harvard Club of New Jersey. It is my pleasure and honor to serve as President of the Club. I would first like to thank all of the members of the Club, both present and past, for making the HCNJ what it is today.  Since its founding in 1904, the HCNJ has helped bring New Jersey alumni together to strengthen and maintain their connections to Harvard. We could not have achieved such a long and rich history without the time and commitment of all members. I would also like to thank all aluni who participate in our events and activities -- the HCNJ may build it, but the dream is not complete if you do not come!

Our Club supports Harvard’s admissions program, and we are indebted to our alumni interviewers for their efforts.  The challenge of interviewing every applicant has grown with the ever-rising number of applicants.  We hope you will consider becoming an interviewer if you are not already involved. Alumni interviewers find this a uniquely rewarding way to serve the University and to stay connected. Personally, I can say that meeting these young students provides me with a refreshing diversion for an hour and gives me satisfaction that our future is looking bright.

Another mission of the Club is to support undergraduate education. We raise scholarship and internship funds for Harvard College students from New Jersey.  Due to the generosity of our members, we make annual donations to the HCNJ Scholarship Fund for New Jersey students attending Harvard College; we also fund summer internships for undergraduates working for not-for-profit institutions in New Jersey.  Your donations and your annual HCNJ dues are tax-deductible and go towards assisting these students from New Jersey.

Throughout the year, we organize, or co-promote, numerous events and activities. Whether it is a Harvard-related event such as the annual trip to the Hasty Pudding Show in New York City, a cultural event such as the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey or private tours of local area museums, a community event such as volunteering at a food bank, or networking and social events such as our Global Networking Nights, we strive to provide a broad range of events that will appeal to the varied interests of our members. We obtain group-discounts on some events, and dues-paying members enjoy further discounts.

Looking ahead, we have many exciting events planned for the coming year.  I encourage you to
• join or renew your membership by going to
• check out photos of your fellow alumni at
• participate in one of our many events
