An In-Person Talk with Gov. Phil Murphy
From Thayer to Drumthwacket: What New Jersey Taught Me About Politics That I Never Learned at Harvard.
Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2026
Time: 5pm to 7pm
Place: Nassau Club, 6 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ
Attire: Casual cocktail/business casual
The Harvard Club of Princeton (HCoP) is delighted to invite the HCNJ to meet former NJ Governor Phil Murphy (AB '79) and hear about his journey from Harvard Yard through the world of finance to New Jersey's governorship, and query him about what he sees in his and the nation's future. Gov. Phil Murphy will speak with fellow alumni and their guests at a "fireside chat" in Princeton, NJ on Tuesday, November 10, from 5 to 7 pm.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvres -- a chance to renew old acquaintances and develop new friendships.
Then past HCoP president Jeff Laurenti will lead a moderated conversation with Governor Murphy, with ample time for participant Q & A.
