CFBNJ relies on various sources of support, including charitable donations, to continue meeting the need in our state. The current challenges facing foodbanks are real, but so is the opportunity to ensure that every New Jerseyan has reliable access to nutritious food.
- Service hour certifications will be given to any students needing credit.
- Volunteers 12 years of age and older are welcome.
- Advance sign-ups are required (NO walk-ins will be admitted).
- All volunteers under 18 years of age must have volunteer waivers signed by a parent or guardian.
- Volunteers aged 12-15 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone during their service.
- Event is Free, but bringing food to donate is encouraged.
- Online signups are required by April 10, 2026 deadline!

How to sign up (With screenshots to use as a guide for each step):
Online signups are required by April 10, 2026 deadline!
1. First, click the blue button below!
Important Note - EACH member of your group (all family members, kids, friends, etc.) MUST sign up individually to be admitted to the event!
2. See orange "create an account" link at upper right hand corner of landing page to create an account at the Volunteer Hub Community Food Bank. Use your email address as the username and create your own password. During the survey, select ONLY the boxes that apply to you and click NEXT!
3. Under Join Code. Leave box blank. Click Next
4. Select all boxes which apply to you. If none apply, leave all unchecked and simply click NEXT.
5. Fill out your personal info and click NEXT
6. Once you get to the COMPLETE screen, you have created an account, but you're not done yet! Click NEXT.
7. Then, sign-up for our event. Scroll down the calendar and click on the event link shown for April 25th at 9AM-11AM. It says "Hillside Warehouse Volunteering Saturday 9AM" Note – You MUST arrive early and those arriving after 8:45AM will not be admitted.
8. Click SIGN UP on the next page. Agree to 2 forms and click DONE (finally)! You will get a confirmation email!

9. Each person that registers will receive a confirmation email, reminder email 3 days prior, and a thank you email.
10. Upon arrival at the Food Bank, the facility will have you check in at their kiosks - no password required, just first and last name.
Note – those arriving after 8:45 am will not be admitted.

ATTIRE:
NO - open-toed shoes (sandals, flip flops, etc.)
NO - tank tops
NO - short-shorts (knee length - ok)
NO - backpacks, purses, other extra baggage, unless medically necessary
NO - warehouse vests.
NO - type of water reusable bottles are permitted into the building
TRANSPORTATION / PARKING:
Parking is available directly on the premises. Groups are encouraged to carpool. When you turn on to Evans Terminal continue about halfway down the road. Make a left onto a paved road between two buildings (follow signs for Volunteer Parking). Drive until you reach a fenced-in lot with numbered spaces. Park in the fenced-in lot, not in front of any buildings. Only if this lot is full, go down to the bottom of Evans Terminal and turn left to find additional CFBNJ-designated parking with numbered spots. If you are arriving by bus or shuttle please contact us for further instructions. Do NOT park in any spaces labeled TRK or in any other spaces not designated for CFBNJ including SkyFrame. Violators will be towed at the owner's expense.
