The event will be hosted at The Winston School of Short Hills, which is headed by Dr. Josephine Diemond - Princeton ’90. Our speakers will be Lori Gaines, Esq., Dr. Tina Snider and Marianne P. Sender, who have years of experience navigating New Jersey’s special education system in private and public schools in different capacities. Ms. Gaines earned her undergraduate degree in Special Education from New York University and her graduate degree, in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities, from Columbia University. After teaching at several special education schools in NYC and California, Ms. Gaines became a lawyer. For the past 20 years, Ms. Gaines has represented the parents of children with disabilities to help secure appropriate special education programming and placement for their children.
Dr. Snider is a licensed psychologist in Chatham, New Jersey. She holds BA and MA degrees from Boston College and her doctorate from Seton Hall University. Dr. Snider works with families and professionals to create a comprehensive assessment of each child’s learning and related needs. Marianne Sender is a retired educator who spent 16 years as a special education teacher in the Montclair public schools. She spent two terms on the school board of South Orange and Maplewood.
