Ivy League Lecture/Conversation Series: AI and How it is Shaping Our World!

As the world around us evolves at an unprecedented pace, we are witnessing the emergence of transformative technologies that have the potential to reshape every aspect of our lives. Chief among these is artificial intelligence, which has already begun to permeate our homes, workplaces, and communities with astonishing speed.

With this in mind, we are excited to announce the launch of our first conversation series, "Exploring the Frontiers of AI: How It's Impacting Society." This series aims to bring together thought leaders, experts, and curious minds from diverse backgrounds to engage in thought-provoking discussions about the implications of AI for our world.

Our first session, scheduled for June 19th, will focus on the following topics:

1. AI and Job Markets: How is AI affecting job creation and displacement across different industries and skill levels? What are the implications for workforce development and training?

2. AI and Privacy: As AI systems become more pervasive, how can we ensure that personal data remains secure and protected? What are the ethical considerations surrounding data collection and usage?

3. AI and Societal Inequality: How might AI exacerbate existing inequalities in society, and what steps can be taken to mitigate these effects?

4. AI and Governance: As AI systems become more powerful, how should they be regulated and governed at local, national, and global levels?

5.AI and Entertainment: How is AI affecting photographers, filmmakers, actors, actresses, scriptwriters and its impact on their careers.

Our conversations will be moderated by Garrett Lang, a Cornell alumnus, and the founder of Free Thinker Institute!

We would be delighted to have you join us for what promises to be a stimulating and informative exchange of ideas.

If you can't join us in person, join us via Zoom. A Zoom link will be email out to RSVP's before the event!
