A Day’s Labor with Habitat for Humanity

Saturday, April 30th, 2022 – 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. 501 Edith Road Roxbury, NJ

Want to make a dream come true and help a family build a house with the prospect of a better life? The HCNJ is hoping to provide a team of 8-10 to join forces with the Habitat for Humanity organization in their effort to create safe and affordable housing for those in need of shelter in our area. Morris Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of the parent organization, coordinates all aspects of this type of housing in Morris County, New Jersey.

We will supply our volunteer building crew at 501 Edith Road in Roxbury, NJ on Saturday, April 30th. The normal work schedule is 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute break at noon for lunch. No experience is required, and all needed instructions and safety training will be provided by the Morris Habitat for Humanity staff.

The volunteers must be at least 16 years old for this particular project (if under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult chaperone).

For more information on this most worthwhile project, contact Brenda Pagán or Bob Howard at bobhoward45@gmail.com or 201-951-5688 (Brenda – cell) / 917-846-8786 (Bob – cell). You can also visit the Morris Habitat for Humanity website (www.morrishabitat.org) for general information regarding their cause.

If interested, please send an email to bobhoward45@gmail.com by April 23 with the name, address, and cell phone of all interested volunteers. We will accept people on a first-come, first-serve basis and will provide additional details prior to the event.

Thank you for all your support!
