Once again, the Harvard Club of New Jersey will be holding its annual dinner at the beautiful Maplewood Country Club, which serves some of the finest food in New Jersey. Join us for an evening of camaraderie, conviviality, and connecting with old classmates.
Our honored guest at this year's annual dinner will be Jonathan Alter '79, the award-winning journalist, columnist, author, and television analyst. He will be speaking on "The High Stakes 2012 Election." Renowned as a former senior editor of Newsweek, Alter has written and spoken extensively about US politics and government. He covered seven presidential elections for Newsweek and wrote over 50 cover stories during his 28 years there.
He now writes a weekly column for Bloomberg View and serves as a contributor to NBC News and MSNBC. He is also the author of bestselling books about President Obama’s first year in office (The Promise: President Obama, Year One) and FDR’s first 100 days (The Defining Moment: FDR’s Hundred Days and the Triumph of Hope). After his address, he will be taking questions from guests at the dinner.
