As previously announced, The Harvard Club of New Jersey is organizing a set of informative tours of Houses of Worship.

A visit to one of the churches in Northen Jersey.
Our first event in the series was:
MOSQUE TOUR - Islam - Any questions? - Ask a Muslim in a Mosque
Was held on Saturday, April 9, 1:30pm
Newark Islamic Association, 229 Roseville Ave, Newark, NJ 07107.
We were treated to a tour of the mosque and a delicious lunch! We had a wide-range discussion about the Muslim religion and challenges faced by Muslim-Americans in the current political environment, including the frustration the community has in getting out the message that theirs is a peaceful religion.
We are happy to consider additional tours based on level of interest. At minimum, each of the currently scheduled events consists of a brief but informative presentation about that particular faith, a tour of the facility, and a question-and-answer session. As noted, certain tours may have additional components. Children and family members are most welcome.
