The Newark Museum is home to the foremost collection of Tibetan art in the western hemisphere. It consists of over 5,000 objects including paintings, sculptures, ritual objects, fine textiles, documentary photographs and decorative art. The one-hour tour will include highlights from the Museum’s eight permanent galleries of Tibetan art, the centerpiece of which is a Buddhist Altar consecrated in 1990 by the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.

 

The price of the tour is $10 for members of the HCNJ and $12 for non-members.

 

There is secure on-site parking for $7.
